Miscreations Education and Training – developing joy in performance

Miscreations engage with all levels and all ages with our performance training sessions

At the heart of our training is a deep belief in the power of joy, risk, and creative discovery. We cultivate resilience by embracing the unexpected, understanding that mistakes are not failures but rather opportunities for growth. True artistry thrives on curiosity, and our workshops celebrate the fearless spirit of play that fuels expressive performance.

As children, we are naturally inquisitive, playful, and creative—qualities that should be
nurtured, not stifled. Our approach fosters an environment where participants rediscover their innate creativity, growing into confident, self-aware communicators. Whether on stage, in the classroom, or in professional settings, we empower individuals to communicate authentically, using the full range of human expression beyond words.

Expect laughter. Expect discovery. Expect to surprise yourself. Our training is immersive, hands-on, and filled with the kind of creative energy that leads to personal and artistic transformation.

“The workshop was revelatory, both the school and the children
commented about how much it inspired and motivated the whole class. They were
particularly impressed with how it engaged SEND children, Aron and Rebecca are gifted
facilitators” –
Alex Oates, Artistic Director The Tute, Cambois

Expressions of Joy at Allendale Primary

Creative Workshops for Young Learners

Our engaging and interactive workshops introduce primary and secondary students to the joy of creative expression. Through play, storytelling, and physical theatre, students build confidence, collaboration skills, and a strong sense of their own artistic voices. Our sessions have often culminated in public performances that delight and inspire both participants and audiences alike.

  • Foster creative confidence and teamwork
  • Develop an awareness of nonverbal communication skills
  • Cultivate a playful and expressive approach to the performing arts

“I was astounded at how the children responded; they were totally and completely absorbed and responsive for the entire 1 1/2 hrs. [Miscreations] had a wonderful relaxed way, had immediate positive and encouraging responses to the children. The children worked amazingly well with no embarrassment and great ideas about what could have been a boring subject!” -Headteacher, Kielder Primary

CPD for Teachers: Bringing Drama to Life in the Classroom

Our Continuing Professional Development (CPD) sessions are designed to help teachers build confidence in teaching drama by embracing playfulness, spontaneity, and physical theatre. We believe that theatre is a physical and dynamic art form, not just words on a page.
