Miscreations
Miscreations Theatre, based in rural Northumberland, was co-founded by Rebecca Jameson and Aron De Casmaker, both accomplished theatre makers with a serious passion for embracing the ridiculous and sharing the resulting positive effects. The company is committed to developing grass roots creative projects for families, children and adults, with a strong focus on issues of social change. Often working in non-traditional theatre settings we collaborate with community venues, schools, youth groups and the wider public to create striking visual theatre events with a focus on spectacle, clown, puppetry and wicked fun. The lively visual nature of our work makes it highly accessible; it can be non-verbal and is full of humour appealing to a diverse audience from a wide range of backgrounds. We are motivated by growing work that brings community together through creative participation, especially welcoming possibilities to work in locations that struggle to access engaging, fun fuelled artistic collaborations.
